I saw this video a short while ago and I found it to be an incredibly moving piece. Sir Bobby Robson’s famous words are very familiar to Newcastle United fans the world over, and I am pretty sure most, if not all of us, can recite it off by heart. Not only do we Newcastle United fans recite it, but we live these words, we breathe these words, they are ingrained in us and are very much a part of who we are.
In these relatively dark times it is good to be reminded who really is the lifeblood of a football club. Mike Ashley may try and reduce our famous institution to pounds and pennies but he will not succeed. Managers, owners, coaches, players, directors, board members, executives, sponsors and tea ladies all come and go. What is left is the fans. The unwavering, loyal, constant bedrock of this great club. We are NUFC. Never forget it.

Funny enough I heard that I got a shout or two on twitter, I wouldn’t know anything about that, I think word is spreading about what a tremendous source of discussion and laughter this place is… haha
He’s simply a mill stone around our neck, and it is dragging us down, but we need to get the fans on board with ridding our club of him.

If the fans remain a silent majority, we’ll never see an improvement. We need to vote with our feet and unite in one common goal; the betterment of Newcastle United, and all that is good about it.

It’s going to be a hard battle but the people starting the Time4Change protest are trying to get all fans together. Season ticket holders, young, old, past and present fans even fans from outside the region and abroad will hopefully be given a voice to protest. There must be a potential owner out there somewhere capable of realising what a great club this can be once again.
Big game at the weekend against, imo, a hugely improved team but so looking forward to Wednesday night and Harper’s charity game. Even dug out an old scarf to take along to join in with the “bring back the scarfs”.

Sorry about that lads, was on the phone there. Tell me more about this Time4Change protest group. I really do think that we are the Borussia Dortmund of the Premier League; all the infrastructure, just desperately in need of a focused ownership to unlock our undoubted potential.
Hull looked decent against Chelsea once they settled, and were good for at least a point against Man City, so they will have their tails up despite losing both those games, we’ll be in a battle no doubt! Enjoy the charity game MacToon, should be a belter!

Thanks for the invite to discuss Time4Change 😉 it’s early days but we seem to have covered so much ground already.
I’m no spokesman but I can say Time4Change is not one group but an amalgamtion, a coalition of disgruntled groups, fanzines and fans who have all agreed enough is enough. The media have so far picked up on the march before the Liverpool game, It gave the forming of the new initiative huge media coverage, not only local but national too but the campaign is prepared for a long and hard battle and that will begin at Villa on Saturday.
The hope is that it will gather pace, pick up allies along the way and hopefully route out a serious buyer who can see the potential we all believe NUFC has.
I’m sure we’ll get to chat about it more and keep up the good work mate.

Of course, I don’t know what notion I had that we’re playing Hull, must have been all the talk of a sit in protest at the Hull game! haha Villa are a vastly improving side, young players with huge PL experience from last year, some genuine talent, and some smart purchases over the summer, all of whom are led by an up and coming manager in Paul Lambert.
Time4Change sounds like exactly the sort of thing we need; an umbrella organisation to work on behalf of multiple fans groups, instead of each group out for their own agenda. Great to hear that the media are noticing, that can only help as we move forward.
We will certainly get speaking more, and I will do as much as I can to publicise what you guys (soon to be ‘us’ guys) are doing!

Villa’s going to be a tricky game. From what I’ve seen so far there’s no pushovers in the league bar the unruley neighbours.
Disappointed Di Canio’s playing on Wednesday but apparently he’s looking forward to playing the pantomime villian. Can’t see him being welcome by what could be near capacity crowd.

Personally I don’t think he should have been invited, and hopefully he acts in a respectful, professional manner…but it’s PDC we’re talking about here!
Results are seemingly destined to go one way, and while that may consolidate people in our quest for allies, in makes for grim watching!

Good luck with Time4Change and let’s hope after the present disaster we can produce a squad with flair and passion who can win something before my time is up. Can’t wait for matchday to arrive. Feels like ages ago that we beat Fulham.
Moving away from the MA issue; how can the Club, in this money-driven age, reinstill a feeling of pride amongst foreign players for the black and white shirt. Because it appears that we are very much a tailwind kind of team; when we have momentum, we look unplayable. When things don’t go our way, every one including the manager, players and fans seem clueless. How can we bring that resilient spirit into our predominantly non-English ranks?
